Pool edge gratings
Swimming pools are divided into two large groups: those in which the water comes up to the level of the deck and those in which the level of the water is below the edge of the pool. The former version is spreading rapidly because the “beach” pool is more attractive.
The edge of a “beach” type pool needs to be fitted with a surrounding grating to cover the channel into which the pool water flows.
Patentverwag Italia started producing the first pool edge gratings way back in 1975. At the time they were simple panels of grating moulded in plastic. Now they have developed into an infinite range of models.
Today the pool edge gratings available on the market are of four different types.
The pool edge grating with rigid panels, the types with ribs parallel to the edge of the pool, the roll-up types and the bendable versions.
Patentverwag Italia currently produces twenty-one different models.
Some of these have very particular features, while others have been copied all over the world due to their original design.
Reference is made in particular to the range of pool edge gratings known as CRX: a bendable grating with comb type ribs that fit inside each other.
What is the reason behind this incredible success?
The first reason is the truly original aesthetic design, then the wave-breaking effect to stop the waves created in the pool, the very comfortable and reliable non-slip area to tread on and, finally, the bendability.
Swimming pools of any shape can be created with a bendable edge and this allows the pools to be adapted without difficulty to the characteristics of the terrain and the features of the countryside, garden or place where the pool is to be installed.
